Walker has been a stalwart under Guardiola at City, winning six Premier League titles and the 2023 Champions League since signing in 2017. His form has dipped this season, however, and he has not started any of their last six games. That has resulted in rumours linking him with a move away and it has now been revealed by Guardiola that a transfer could happen this month.

Guardiola announced Walker's intentions after City's 8-0 thrashing of Salford City in the FA Cup last weekend, saying: "Kyle asked to explore the options to play abroad. It doesn't mean it's going to happen because you never know. But I am pretty convinced there's no-one in our job that doesn't want to be there who can perform and be exactly what they want to be."
WHAT NEXT FOR WALKER?
AC Milan have been the club most seriously linked with a move for Walker, who is said to be desperate to keep playing at the highest level in order to reach 100 England caps. The full-back has played 93 matches for his country and a move to Serie A could keep him on Thomas Tuchel's radar as qualification for the 2026 World Cup begins in March.
