Scott Brown has reacted to the win over St Johnstone with a 12-word Instagram post.

The 55-cap Scotland international started the Scottish Cup quarter-final tie at McDiarmid Park, and helped Neil Lennon’s side record a 1-0 win thanks to a late free-kick from Ryan Christie – it appeared as if Christopher Jullien had got a touch on it, although he later admitted the goal wasn’t his.

The Hoops struck with just nine minutes left on the clock to progress into the semi-finals, where they will hope to retain their crown in this competition having won it last season – one thing that is for certain is that they won’t be facing Rangers, after Steven Gerrard’s men lost to Hearts in their quarter-final.

After full-time, Brown – who has made 48 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish giant this term – took to his official Instagram page to share his post-match thoughts in concise fashion with a 12-word message.
